The Cartel is a feature film & television production and management company representing top-tier show runners, show creators, writers, directors, producers, talent and production companies in film, TV and new media. The Cartel purchased and renovated Tamarind Lithography Studios which is their headquarters, as well as a full service production and post-production complex. In November of 2015 The Cartel opened a London branch in historic Oxford Circus, and in May of 2016 opened a New York office on Hudson Street. The Cartel has been involved in the production for the series “A Place in the Sun” for Discovery, Executive Produced and Financed the scripted series “Ties That Bind” for Up TV, and several recent feature films including “Guns, Girls, & Gambling,” “The Wedding Pact,” “Out of Reach,” “Defending Santa,” “Merry ExMas,” “Crimes of the Mind,” “Dispatch,” “Swipe”, “The Town Came A-Courtin”, “Welcome to the Family”, “Heartbeat” to name a few. Cartel has been involved in producing 40 films in the last five years, and are green-lit to produce 15 films this year ranging from TV Movies to independent features to studio features. The Cartel is a fully functional production company complete with studio facilities, financing capabilities, production equipment, and post production facilities.
Cartel Pictures has acquired the famous Tamarind Lithography Studio, previously owned and developed by the late June Claire Wayne. With four buildings on 13,000 sq ft, the 1960 built property has been both home and studio to a litany of famous artists including June Wayne, Ed Ruscha, Richard Deibenkorn, Sam Francis, Philip Guston and Bruce Conner. This creative campus with its rich history in the fine art world is now the newly renovated headquarters for film production and entertainment at The Cartel.

The Hollywood location places the independent studio in proximity to Paramount, Sunset Gower Studios, Sunset Bronson Studios, and Raleigh Studios.

The distinct and charming property provides a community atmosphere that includes management offices, editing suites, finishing suites, production offices, casting offices, and film stages.
